Is it your dancers first year at BW Dance Works? Not sure what the show is all about? Have a read below to see what our amazing parents have to say about the whole experience!
Halle has been dancing with BW since she was 2. She took part in her first show last year. I can't describe how incredibly proud we were of Halle taking to the stage. She done amazing. She was so excited on the lead up to the big day, practiced her dances in her room, was so independent and keen on the day of the show that she didn't give us a second glance at drop off. She just couldn't wait to get up there and show us all what she had been learning. She done 4 dances and in each one had a huge smile on her face and got right into it, filled with enthusiasm.
As her parents the experience for us was one of joy and pride watching her up there at 4 years old in front of 700 people doing the thing she loved the most. DANCE. She didn't want to experience to end and still talks about it now. We can't wait for this year's show to see how far she has come this year.
The whole experience showed us how even at 4 years old halle was determined, dedicated, independent and just right at home up there on the stage.
We can't wait to experience it all again next year.
Dancing on a real stage for a real audience in beautiful costumes, with friends made in class over the course of the year, is such a wonderful way to build confidence in children and my daughter enjoyed every moment!
Last years show was Elsie's second. She was desperate to take part and her wee face beamed all the way through all three of her dances.
She loved the build up, the photoshoot and would show/tell anyone willing to listen about her incredible costumes.
Her confidence was really boosted posted post show and it was clear to see how proud she was of herself.
The show itself was a really enjoyable watch aside from seeing your own wee one on stage, beautifully choreographed, great song choice and incredibly talented performers.
The show experience for the kids is fantastic. The confidence it has given my 2 girls has been amazing and to see them up on the stage enjoying themselves is great to see as a parent.
Bethany really leaves nothing to question. She is so organised in her information about the shows from what the girls need for costumes and where to be at what time. It takes away the worrying as a parent and you know exactly where to be at what time and what you need.
It’s so professional having a photoshoot before in their costumes.
The shows are in great location and it is a fantastic experience for the kids to get up on a big stage to show what they have been learning in class.
The girls look forward to it every year and have the complete show buzz after it 💜
Amelia loved the last show (her first one) and still talks about it. She loved the build up to it including the photo shoot and trying on her costumes, and had a great time on the day. I volunteered back stage and would do it again. It was good being able to help her and the other kids and be able to watch her dances from the side of the stage. She’s already excited about doing the next show!
My daughter absolutely loved the BW dance show. She got such a thrill being on stage and it really gave her such a confidence boost. She was up there with her friends having a great time. The show is very relaxed. There is not alot of pressure put on the dancers they just have to go out there and have fun. As a parent it was joy to watch. Miss B is super organised so parents are really informed of all the little details and this makes everything so easy. My other daughter has now joined class at BW as she now wants the opportunity to do a show after watching her sister!
Eilidh had a great time in last year’s show. We loved seeing her on stage and her confidence has grown so much. No matter what she does now we always remind her that she’s performed in front of hundreds of people - she can do anything now! The show was very professionally run and the costumes were amazing. We are really looking forward to next years show.
What a fantastic opportunity it was for our daughter to perform in such a lovely venue in front of an audience. We as parents were so proud watching her and all the other dancers perform. She was a little nervous before as it was her first show but now she is always asking us how many days it is until she can do it all over again! Such a massive boost to her confidence.
The whole show process was magical for Claire to be involved in. From impeccably organised dance practices, costume fittings and pre show photo shoots, it really made it an incredibly exciting experience for her to be part of. The self confidence Claire gained from being up on that big stage and performing for the audience with the rest of her dance friends was huge and something she will remember for life. We cannot wait for her to be involved in the next show and coming to watch her perform again.
Clara and Maisie have been dancing with Miss Bethany since they were 3 and have taken part in all of the shows which have consistently got bigger and better each year! I love how excited they are in the run up to it- getting the costumes and making plans for the day. They have had such great experiences backstage and the BW team prepare them so well for the show- with kindness and having fun being a higher priority than being perfect. We can’t wait until March!
I was delighted by the joy and enthusiasm my three children showed on stage. The show was perfectly tailored to their age groups, with engaging choreography, colourful costumes and upbeat music. It was heartwarming to see my children's confidence grow as they performed, for the first time for my 2 year old. Bethany is so organised that managing three sets of costumes and drop offs was no trouble. This was our third dance show and it's always a wonderful opportunity for them to develop new skills, make new friends backstage and create lasting memories.
Both my girls have taken part in every show and this is something they look forward to each year. They are excited about the theme, the costumes, the dances and all the fun of the show itself. As a parent I have helped every year back stage looking after a group whilst the show is on. It’s just amazing to see how much fun they have and how they are all so supportive of each other.
