Choreography Competition 2025

Our annual choreography competition is a brand new event in our BW Dance Works Calendar!
Dancers in our P3+ / Level 3+ classes are invited to enter our very own, in house, routines in any style, to their own choice of music and in their own costumes. They then get to perform on a stage in front of an audience of family and friends, and a small panel of guest judges.
All participants will receive a certificate for each routine they perform, with medals and trophies for winners in each section. It is a fun and friendly competition meant to drive creativity and performance ability!
Best of all, the overall winner will get to perform their piece in our 2026 Show.

Our choreography competition will be held on Saturday 15th of November 2025. Friends and Family can arrive from 6.30pm and the Competition will begin promtly at 7pm. The results and trophies will be announced at 10pm. The event will finish at 11pm. There will be a bar open for parents and a small selection of snacks. In between our age sections we will have a couple of games PLUS performances from our Company Teams.

There will be a medal for everyone taking part as no matter of how the performance goes on the night, we want to celebrate each dancer who has used their creativity and passion to work hard to choreograph something! We will have a 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each of our age groups as well as an ‘OVERALL WINNER.’ The overall winner will get the opportunity to perform their choreography in our annual show.
We had originally said 2 entries per dancer, but given the amount of interest we have already had, we will open 1 entry per dancer to begin. In 2 weeks (Monday 15th of September), we will review & if space open up secondary entries.
